One Signal Guide and Setup: How to Enable Push Notification on Your Website?

Push Notification is the latest trend and a great idea to increase your website visitors. If you are a blogger, then it is very important to enable push notification to increase activities on your website.

Now, here is the detailed setup instructions to get you started. Another shot of our detailed setup instructions with images.

Step 1: SignUp on After you complete signup process and confirm your email, you will find “Add a New App” option. Hit “+” button. 

Step 2: Name your new app whatever you want. In my case, I put the name of my website.

Step 3:  Here you have to choose a platform. Select “Website Push.” 

Step 4: Select “ Google Chrome & Mozilla Firefox.” If you want to show notifications on Safari too, you’ll have to configure again using the same steps.

Step 5:  Fill your website URL & Default Notification URL here. I have kept it simple by adding “/subscribe” after website name. 

Step 6: Now, select your target SDK. As I am using WordPress, I go for the same. Select according to your website CMS. 

Step 7: Search for “OneSignal” plugin the WordPress Plugin Repository and install it. Activate and paste the generated API key on the setup page.


Done. Now you and your website visitors will see a bell icon when they visit your website.
